SUMMER WEIGHT TRAINING
Designed by Coach Chad Herr, our athletes will be introduced to a holistic program for strength and conditioning. Combined with his deep understanding of lacrosse, this training ensures that our athletes at MAC will be well-prepared, conditioned, and ready to excel at higher levels of competition. Whether it's lacrosse or hockey, boys or girls, Coach Herr's training programs are designed to push athletes to their peak performance and beyond.
Schedule
Session beginning mid July.
One hour sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays for ten weeks.
Boys 2025-2026 9am
Boys 2027-2028 10am
Boys 2029-2030 11am
Girls 2025-2027 Noon
Girls 2028-2030 1pm
Limited to only 10 athletes per session. Registration is on a first come first serve basis.

The ten week summer session includes a custom strength training plan, dietary regimen and performance tracking.

Coach Herr Strength Coach Bio:
Coach Herr brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the MAC as the head strength coach. Chad has been a prominent figure in the bodybuilding community, having competed in numerous bodybuilding contests both within Minnesota and nationally. His dedication to the sport and comprehensive understanding of strength training makes him an exceptional coach for our athletes.
Chad's notable achievements include participating in prestigious competitions such as the NPC Twin Cities Open and the NPC Minnesota State Championships. He has over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry, excelling as a competitor, trainer, competition promoter, and judge. His extensive background includes designing personalized nutrition and training programs tailored to athletes' specific needs, helping them achieve peak performance.
In addition to his practical experience, Chad holds several accolades and positions within the bodybuilding community. He has been involved with the NPC (National Physique Committee) and has contributed to various aspects of bodybuilding events, from organizing competitions to judging and mentoring upcoming athletes.

Enhancing Athletic Performance

Lacrosse Background
In addition to his bodybuilding credentials, Chad played collegiately at Minnesota State university along side Coach Limpert and has a solid foundation in lacrosse coaching. He currently serves as the head coach for Wayzata High School Boys varsity lacrosse team, where he has successfully led the team and developed young athletes. His dual experience in strength training and lacrosse coaching uniquely positions him to understand the specific physical demands of the sport and to design programs that enhance performance on the field.
